Whales are known for their migratory patterns. This year, from 11 August to 24 September a few are taking a detour. Discover all 30 whale tails along a 6km trail around Sydney’s Western Harbour waterfront. Seek them out via the Waterfront Whale Tale app that has wayfinding maps to help you on your treasure hunt and to collect great rewards and prizes for each tail you visit. There’s so much to see and do at Waterfront Whale Tales – come and explore, unite and delight in Sydney’s expansive and diverse natural wonderlands.

A place to DISCOVER 25 hectares of harbourfront parklands that meets a 24-hour economy. A place where the latest in smart city innovation UNITES with the oldest living culture on earth. A place to DELIGHT over a coffee or cocktails with a view you can just drink in.

SPOT THEM ALL! WIN SOME GREAT PRIZES
With every Whale Tale that you visit, you can unlock valuable rewards offered by participating precinct businesses. Each whale tail sculpture features a unique code. Simply enter this into the Waterfront Whale Tales app to reveal the story behind each artwork and reveal a freebie, discount or prize. There’s also bonus prizes for completing each of the mini-trails and a Major Prize for spotting all 30 Whale Tales!

Love Whale Tales? Want to keep one?
You can! After the Waterfront Whale Tales trail concludes, all 30 sculptures will be offered for purchase at a dedicated art auction on Friday 30 September.
The net proceeds from the auction will go to The Kids’ Cancer Project.

Mulga @mulgatheartist is a renowned Australian street artist, freelance illustrator, muralist, published author and designer of the much loved Mulga product range. Known for his unique Australian creations and signature style of intricate line work and bright colours, Mulga's creations grace walls and objects across the world.
